About me

I started my PhD in September 2018 at the University Hospital for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Bern in Dr. Leila Tarokh’s group. For my PhD I am examining sleep neurophysiology as well as the effect of a short-term behavioral sleep intervention in adolescents with and without depression. My research interests are objectively and subjectively measured sleep (EEG, actigraphy, questionnaires), the effect of sleep on neurobiological processes, the treatment of sleep problems (e.g. insomnia, hypersomnia) and mental health in general. Before starting my PhD I worked as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist for approximately 8 years and was specialized in the examination as well as treatment of children and adolescents with Autism.
