About me

I am a PhD student at the Graduate School for Health Science, working for the University Hospital of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. My main interests lie in the interface between somatic and mental health - in particular, the influence and effects of somatic illness on emotional dysregulation in children and adolescents. Specifically, I am investigating the effects of high-dose glucocorticoid (steroid) treatment in children and adolescents with a haematological malignancy (such as acute lymphoblastic leukaemia), and its impact on adverse psychological effects - namely, irritability - as well as its association with the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.
