About me

I am a PhD student in Prof. Dr. Annekatrin Steinhoff’s research group, working on the ESCAPE project. In my doctoral research, I study the development of emotion dysregulation in adolescence, with a particular focus on self-harming behavior. One of my main interests is the interplay between social stressors, resilience factors and coping strategies in shaping young people’s emotional experiences. My aim is to understand how these processes unfold over time, ranging from short-term emotional dynamics to long-term developmental trajectories. With this knowledge, I seek to contribute to more effective support for adolescents and the promotion of mental health during this sensitive developmental period.
