About me
Leila Tarokh received her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine in 2006. From 2006-2009 she was a NIAAA postdoctoral fellow at Brown University. Subsequently she was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University and a Senior Scientist at the University of Zurich. Her research aims to understand the role of sleep in mental health using a multimodal approach with an emphasis on high-density waking and sleep EEG. She is currently principal investigator two grants, one examining sleep in adolescents with major depressive disorder (MDD) and the other examining transdiagnostic links between sleep and psychiatric disorders.
