Forensic evaluations play a critical role in shaping decisions that affect children and families involved in legal processes. However, little is known about how these evaluations influence decision-making and the long-term outcomes for families. The present study aims to fill this gap by utilizing a database of forensic evaluations to systematically investigate these processes.

The study focuses on coding and analyzing forensic evaluations using both qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover patterns in decision-making and assess their impact on family well-being and dynamics. By identifying key factors that drive decisions and examining the outcomes for affected families, the project seeks to enhance the quality, fairness, and effectiveness of forensic practices.
